A century and a half ago was an
age of elegance, when furniture like ours graced the stately homes of great
britain and her colonies. It was the age of leisure, new material and impeccable
design. Over the years these designs had sadly, nearly been forgotten, but
now Freegate proudly present once again this superb range of garden, patio
and indoor furniture. With a difference, however. Traditionally, this furniture
was made of cast iron: rust prone, heavy, brittle and of suspect strengh.
These disadvantages have now been overcome by the utilistaion of new foundry
techniques and alloys. Aluminium has superseded cast iron and modern polyester
finishes replaced the old fashioned paints, thus creating furniture for
the pleasure of generations - and all British made.
